How to defrost the refrigerator

1

Defrost the refrigerator

⚠️Do not use:
• A knife or an ice pick, or other sharp tools to remove frost from the freezer shelves. It can create a leak in the ammonia system.
• A hot air blower. Permanent damage could result from warping the metal or plastic parts.

1
Shut off the refrigerator by pressing the main power ON/OFF button (OFF position).

2
Empty the refrigerator.

3
Ensure that the drip tray is in place under the finned evaporator in the food storage compartment.

4
Leave the cabinet and freezer doors open and place the drip tray under the finned evaporator. Defrosting time can be reduced by filling the ice trays with hot water and placing them in the freezer compartment.

5
When all the frost has melted, dry the interior with a clean cloth and turn the refrigerator back on.
