How does the battery monitor work?
The battery monitor is designed to protect your vehicle starter battery from excessive discharge, automatically switching off the cooler if the vehicle starter battery voltage falls bellow a set level and switching it back on when the voltage returns to safe levels.
The battery monitor can have 2 or 3 modes depending on the CF model:
2 modes: LOW, HIGH for CF 18.
3 modes: LOW, MEDIUM and HIGH for CF 11,
CF 25, CF 35, CF 40, CF 50, CF 50, CF 60, CF 80 and CF 110.
In “HIGH” mode, the battery monitor responds faster than at the levels “LOW” or “MED”. In other words, a higher battery monitor mode means less tolerance to discharge.
