The lid is stuck
Try this solution
Correct the lid position
Follow the instructions on the step-by-step guide to correct the lid to its built-in stop position.

Hold the internal latch down with one hand and the lid with the other hand

Carefully close the lid
Close the lid as far as possible without pinching your thumb, while still holding the latch down, to keep it from breaking.

Release the internal latch
When the lid is approximately at the position on the image below, remove your hand from the latch and continue closing the lid all the way.

Adjust the hinges
The hinges may release from the correct position during the final closing action. Reposition the lid by:
Open the latches on both sides of the lid at the same time.
Lift and reposition the lid.
