Why is PMMA / acrylic used for the Rooflight panes?
PMMA / acrylic is transparent with an outstanding optical clarity. It’s easy to fabricate while easy to thermoform. It Exhibits glass-like qualities at half (50%) weight of glass thereby 30x stronger. On top of this it has outstanding thermal insulation and superior weathering properties (-40 / + 80 °C).
