Here are the steps of the start after not using the device for a substantial time:

1. Check the cowl and remove the cover and any dirt (e.g. leaves, cobwebs, etc.).

2. Flush the water heater according to the figure below.

After a long period of non-use, smoke or odours may develop for a few minutes due to dust or dirt.
In this case, ensure that the interior is well ventilated and perform self-cleaning.
